This is my groups Frankin pot! I worked wirh Duncan and Alex W. on this and he turned out pretty adorable! We made him look like Frankinstein (well kinda) I made the middle piece, Duncan made the bottom and Alex made the top of it. Alex and I attached the arms and the little bolts as well as the little scar on his head. With glazing we used the green glaze on the body, on the mouth we used the black and red glaze. On the eyes we used the black and white glaze. To make this project look more lively, we carved out the eyes, but nade the pupils still drawin out, then we did then same with the mouth. Then I just carved in some curved eyebrows to make him look kinda suprised and just used a balled pin tool to give him a cute little nose.
This is my vase that I made using the clay from the mixer. I haven't made a handle since my sophomore year, so it was a little refresher on how easy it is to make one. Since I got the bottom of the handle a little thin, I added some roses to the bottom as well as leaves. Then I added some leaves to the top of the handle to balance it all out. I then used the underglazes to put some color to the roses. |
