This is my second bowl which completes the two bowls assignment. This bowl I was inspired from learning about the Asian artist Xu-Bing who I leaned about in my art history class. I tried to mimic the traditional painting style and I feel like it didn't turn out the way that I wanted it to. The way that I painted the inside by watering down the black under glaze and adding a darker top coat on top gives it more of a layered look/feel. Also with the texturing it makes the inside look rough when it actually is smooth. With this bowl I would have taken more time on making sure that the mountains were less steep and more mountain-like.
